Birketts run public Mock Employment Tribunal events at fantastic locations across the UK in collaboration with a top barristers chambers. Our most recent Mock Tribunals have been at the Newmarket Racecourse and BMA House in London.

The Mock Employment Tribunal Day

At our public events our fantastic Shaping Excellence Training team will be joined by two employment barristers from a top London Chambers, who will be representing the Claimant and the Respondent company, and we will have a sitting Employment Judge in place to give us an authentic judgement in the case.

Prior to the day attendees will be provided with an authentic bundle of key documents which can be read ahead of the session.

Mock Employment Tribunals are brilliant days which are really loved by attendees and give valuable insights into the Tribunal process. The events will be especially valuable to those responsible for HR in their organisation, but will also be of interest to those managers who have regular responsibility for disciplinary, grievance and appeal cases. The day will give a great insight into the workings of the Tribunal for instance: how witness evidence is given and probed, and how Tribunal judges come to their decisions (and importantly why). Our Shaping Excellence training team will be hosting the event with cut away explanations and summaries, and some interactive discussions through the day, to bring some of the key points to life. The cost per ticket is extremely competitive.

Our Mock Tribunal Case Study

The brief: Emily Taylor decided enough was enough. Kris’s latest sexist message was the straw that broke the camel’s back, she decided to resign. She has had her claim listed to be heard at the Birketts Mock Employment Tribunal.

The claims at issue: Constructive Dismissal, Sex Discrimination, Harassment related to sex, and victimisation.
