
Tom is currently his second seat, where he assists the Commercial Real Estate Team in Cambridge.
Tom assists the team with advising on matters concerning commercial freehold and leasehold acquisitions and disposals, landlord and tenant matters and negotiation and drafting of leases.
Tom’s first seat was in Commercial Litigation and Intellectual Property in Cambridge. Tom assisted the IP team acting for clients on a full range of IP disputes involving patents (including patent ownership), copyright, trade marks, design rights, passing off, and breach of confidence.
Prior to joining Birketts Tom studied his undergraduate degree in History at the University of York. After graduating, Tom completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL) at BPP Cambridge. Tom also completed his LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 & 2) at the University of Law Moorgate. He studied electives in Advanced Real Estate, Commercial and International Trade, Innovation and Legal Project Management and Mergers and Acquisitions.
