
Patrick is a Partner in our Property Disputes Team, based in our Bristol office.
He is ranked in Chambers as a Band 1 individual for Real Estate Litigation and in Legal 500 as a Leading Individual for Property Litigation: “A superstar”; “One of the most experienced and accomplished property litigators in the country”; and “utterly unflappable, calm and measured whatever he’s faced with”.
His work covers all aspects of general commercial property and landlord and tenant disputes including large scale valuable development disputes, dilapidations claims, contested lease renewals, disputes concerning alienation, advising on restrictive covenants, easements, contested agency claims, rights of way, rights of light, adverse possession, judicial review and town and village greens.
Patrick has considerable High Court and Court of Appeal experience and has mediated over 30 times.
Recent work highlights
Acting for the largest streaming company in the world in respect of a £10m asbestos claim; acting for a national infrastructure company in respect of £50m plus ‘lift and shift’ rail related electrification wayleave disputes; and acting for a national developer in respect of a £40m claim arising out of a valuable strategic land option.
