Nathalie Southan

Nathalie started her legal profession in 2010 working in Intellectual Property and Renewable Energy as a Legal Secretary. In 2018, she became Exeter Diocesan Registry Clerk supporting Alison Stock as Registrar.
Nathalie is responsible for dealing with faculty applications for The Church of England parishes of Devon, clergy licensing, grave space and cremation plot reservations, petitions for exhumation and common marriage licences. She also deals with daily queries from clergy, churchwardens and the general public in respect of various church issues including boundary, marriage and churchyard.
Recent work highlights
Worked towards a successful Faculty for an exhumation of a baby where the father’s coercive control undermined the decision on the original place of burial. Read more here.
