Fiona joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023 and is currently in her fourth seat, sitting in our International Family Team in the London office, and is part of the Modern Families Team.
This builds on Fiona’s experience in the Commercial Real Estate Team where she assisted clients with property transactions including leases, sales and title registration issues, the Private Client Advisory Team where she assisted with the preparation of Wills, Codicils, Lasting powers of Attorney and Estate administration, her experience in the Private Wealth Disputes where she assisted with contentious trusts and probate matters, including Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 claims, and her experience in Banking & Finance where she assisted with drafting corporate authorities, liaising on condition precedent and drafting documents.
Experience & education
Prior to joining Birketts, Fiona studied Law at the University of Leicester. She then studied the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 & SQE 2) with the University of Law, Moorgate. Fiona completed electives in Advanced Real Estate, Employment Law, Advanced Dispute Resolution and Family Law.
Before becoming a Trainee Solicitor, Fiona worked as a Paralegal at a regional firm and within an in-house legal team at an agricultural machinery company.
