Caitlin joined Birketts as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2023.
Caitlin is currently in her final seat and is working with the Commercial Real Estate Team in Chelmsford. Caitlin assists the team on a range of commercial property transactions including acting for landlords and tenants, developers and investors.
Caitlin’s third seat was with the Corporate Team in Chelmsford, where she gained experience in a range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings and general company law issues.
Caitlin’s second seat was with the Employment Team in Cambridge, assisting with both contentious and non-contentious work and providing advice to employees and employers in all aspects of employment law. Caitlin’s first seat was with the Public Sector Team in Chelmsford.
Experience & education
Prior to joining Birketts, Caitlin worked in the in-house Legal Team and Human Resources Department at a global agricultural machinery manufacturer.
Caitlin studied law at the University of Portsmouth, graduating in 2021 with a first-class degree. Following on from this, Caitlin studied for the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 and 2) at the University of Law, obtaining a merit, which included passing both SQE 1 and 2.
During her studies, Caitlin completed electives in Employment Law, Advanced Real Estate, Mergers and Acquisitions and Advanced Dispute Resolution.
