Mona joined Birketts at the beginning of February 2023.
She is a Solicitor in the Enfranchisement Team working closely with Nicola Lebish, Gavin Walmsley and Hannah Stammers.
Mona predominantly deals with leasehold enfranchisement of flats to include statutory and voluntary claims, leasehold enfranchisement proceedings in the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), 1987 Act claims, grants of leases, deeds of variation and deeds of covenant. In the past Mona has also dealt with various licensing matters and large scale residential acquisitions for various well known Landed Estates in Central London and acted for a number of high net worth individuals. Such licensing matters include Licences to Assign, Licences to Underlet and complex Licences to Alter.
Underpinning Mona’s day to day work is the ability to build credibility and friendship with her clients by prioritising and managing all of her clients’ expectations.

Acting for various Councils and Social Housing Landlords in ongoing statutory leasehold extension claims as well as voluntary lease extensions.
